What treatments are available?
When creating contour and definitions, there are a few treatment options that can be considered:
- Jaw-line contouring: with the use of high-viscosity dermal fillers, it is possible to create a sharper and symmetric jaw-line. This is also a treatment that can accentuate features in masculinisation and feminisation treatment plans. Typically, the former will involve creating a more defined and squared jaw-line, while the latter will benefit from a more elongated and softer contouring
- Chin: creating volume and projection in the chin can help to define the proportions between the lower, mid and upper face, resulting in a more symmetric appearance
- Cheeks and naso-labial folds: these areas, especially with ageing, can lose volume and elasticity. By adding volume and structure to the mid face, it is possible to highlight the mid face and the eyes and reduce or eliminate skin folding in the lower face
Does it hurt?
From experience, in a scale between 0, no pain, and 10, maximum pain ever felt, treatment can range between 2 and 4, which is a minimal to mild discomfort for most people. Marco will apply anaesthetic topical cream at least 20 min before starting and, while receiving treatment, you will use the pain modulating pen, which aims to block the neuro-signalling to the local pain receptors of your skin.
When will I see results?
Results are immediate. During your treatment, Marco will start in a gradual and incremental manner and you will be asked to check, assess and agree that he is meeting your expectations.
How long do contouring last?
Contouring treatment lasts from 8 to 12 months, depending on each individual.
